Guidelines for the MasjidHub Community

Welcome to MasjidHub. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions. Our mission is to digitally empower the Muslim community with accurate mosque directories, localized timing calculations, and spiritual utilities.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for, accessing, or using any part of MasjidHub (including the public application, Zakat Calculator, Qibla Direction, Quran, and the Mosque Management Portal), you confirm your agreement to these Terms. If you do not agree to these terms, you must immediately cease all access and use of the platform.

2. Platform Purpose

MasjidHub is designed as a centralized digital directory and scheduling platform to connect community members with localized mosque timings, notices, and spiritual tools. While we provide advanced tools for mosque management, MasjidHub functions as an intermediary software provider and does not assume responsibility for the day-to-day operations or governance of any registered mosque.

3. Free User Access

MasjidHub is committed to serving the spiritual needs of the community. Access to all public spiritual and informational tools is fundamentally and perpetually free for everyday users. General users enjoy unrestricted access to:

  • The public mosque directory containing prayer timings, notices, locations, facilities, and the community Mahal Calendar.
  • The digital Quran, featuring clear text, Malayalam/English translations, and high-quality audio recitations.
  • Additional faith utilities, including the interactive Tesbih counter, device-compass-driven Qibla finder, and the private Zakat Calculator.

4. Ad-Free Commitment

To preserve a respectful, focused, and spiritually uncompromised environment, MasjidHub is 100% commercial-free. General users will never be subjected to commercial advertisements, third-party banners, or popups while accessing their spiritual tools.

5. Mosque Management & Licensing

Authorized representatives of Mosque Committees are permitted to claim and manage their mosque's profile through our secure Management Portal.

  • Verification Required: To prevent unauthorized claims, committees must upload official documentation (Mahal Decision Letter stamped and signed by the committee on official letterhead) to our secure storage.
  • Administrator Limits: Managed mosques are limited to a maximum of two (2) verified administrator accounts. Administrators have full access to manage prayer times, notice boards, the Mahal calendar, local finance ledgers, and facility flags.
  • Historical Audits: For administrative accountability, the dashboard maintains a secure 30-day Admin Activity Log that tracks all settings adjustments and administrative transitions.

6. Sponsorship Terms

Community members, institutions, or well-wishers may choose to sponsor the dynamic licensing fee of any registered mosque to support its digital presence.

  • Default Display: By default, the sponsor's name is publicly displayed on the mosque's profile as a gesture of appreciation.
  • Anonymity Controls: Sponsors may choose to check the "don't show my name" option. Selecting this hides their identity from general public users, though their name will remain visible to the target mosque's administrators for transparency and audit records.

7. User Accounts & Admin Responsibilities

Mosque administrators are solely responsible for maintaining the strict confidentiality of their portal credentials. By updating their mosque's profile, administrators covenant to publish **accurate, verified, and appropriate information**. Any administrative user who publishes offensive, misleading, or fraudulent notices will have their access terminated immediately.

8. Payments, Renewals & Refunds

To support server maintenance and platform development, managed mosques require an active license after their initial one-month free trial. Licensing fees are determined dynamically based on the mosque's geographic Location Tier:

Tier 1: Corporation
₹999 / year
6-Months: ₹549
For mosques located within Municipal Corporation limits.
Tier 2: Municipality
₹650 / year
6-Months: ₹349
For mosques located within Municipalities or Taluk town centers.
Tier 3: Panchayat
₹450 / year
6-Months: ₹249
For mosques located within rural Panchayat areas.
Strict No-Refunds Policy: Since all managed mosques receive a full, unrestricted free trial period to evaluate the platform before making any financial commitment, **all payments made to MasjidHub are strictly final and non-refundable**.

9. Data Privacy & Local Storage

We are committed to protecting user privacy and handling personal data responsibly. As detailed in our Privacy Policy, MasjidHub does not share, rent, or sell user coordinates or personal profiles with third-party sites or external marketing platforms. Additionally, the platform utilizes secure local browser storage (such as localStorage and sessionStorage) strictly to cache search coordinates and mosque directories to minimize database egress, maximize loading speed, and enable offline functionality. These caches reside strictly on your local device.

10. User Conduct

Users must not engage in any activity that disrupts, harms, or exploits MasjidHub. Forbidden actions include:

  • Attempts to bypass or reverse-engineer our secure geolocation mechanisms.
  • Manipulating coordinates to falsely claim a lower pricing tier.
  • Spamming contact request, feedback forms, or utilizing notice boards to advertise unauthorized commercial ventures.

11. Accuracy & Service Disclaimer

MasjidHub strives to maintain highly accurate directories and timings. However, please be advised:

  • Calculated Timings: Timings displayed for *unmanaged* mosques are generated based on mathematical geographical formulas. General users should rely primarily on *Managed Mosques*, as their timings are maintained directly by their physical committee.
  • Travel Approximations: All walk, bike, and drive distance and duration calculations are computed client-side as straight-line mathematical estimations. They do not account for road infrastructure, live traffic, closed pathways, or weather, and should not be used as professional navigation tools.

12. Intellectual Property

All content and software designs on MasjidHub—including source code, layouts, graphic assets, logos, compiled databases, and UI components—are the exclusive intellectual property of MasjidHub and are protected under international copyright and trademark laws. Unauthorized copying, distribution, or decompilation of our assets is strictly prohibited.

13. Limitation of Liability

MasjidHub, its developers, and its parent organizations shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the platform. This includes, but is not limited to, reliance on calculated prayer timings, travel duration estimates, financial figures in local mosque ledgers, or administrative disputes within mosque committees. All services are provided strictly "as is" and "as available".

14. Suspension & Termination

MasjidHub reserves the exclusive right, in its sole discretion and without prior notice, to suspend or permanently terminate user accounts or mosque management portal access if we detect a violation of these Terms, location tier manipulation, or any behavior that threatens the security and spiritual integrity of the platform.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to revise these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted directly to this page with an updated revision timestamp. Continued access or use of MasjidHub after such modifications constitutes your full agreement to the updated terms.

16. Contact Information

If you have any legal questions, compliance concerns, or technical feedback regarding these Terms, please contact the MasjidHub administrative team through our official communication channels at legal@masjidhub.in.
