• Mosque Data: For mosque committees using our management portal, we collect the necessary information about the mosque (name, location, facilities like women's areas, wheelchair access, AC, and parking, bank hours, and notices) to display it to the community.
• Management & Sponsorship Data: Mosque admins securely manage internal records such as finance ledgers, the Mahal calendar, and blood bank lists. Additionally, to ensure accountability and mosque security, we maintain an Admin Activity Log that securely records sensitive administrative actions (such as settings changes, location updates, and financial logs) alongside the acting admin's email address or user ID. This history is visible only to that mosque's registered admins and is automatically pruned after 30 days. Public sponsors who fund a mosque's license renewal will have their names displayed; if they choose to remain anonymous, their identity is hidden from the public but remains visible to the mosque's admins.
• Local Storage & Caching: To minimize database server load, optimize app responsiveness, and support offline capability, MasjidHub temporarily caches your search coordinates and nearby mosque details on your browser or device using secure local storage technologies (like localStorage or sessionStorage). This cached information resides strictly on your local device, is never uploaded to our servers or external databases, and is never shared, sold, or distributed to any third party.

2. How We Use Your Data

The information gathered is exclusively utilized to run and maintain the features of MasjidHub, including:

• Providing an accurate directory of mosques in Kerala, along with prayer times and community notices.
• Providing mathematical estimations of travel distances and travel times for Walking, Motorbike, and Driving modes (calculated purely in-browser to respect your privacy and keep the service free).
• Powering our completely free core tools: Quran (with multi-language audio and text translations), Tesbih, Zakat Calculator, and Qibla tracking.
• Determining the correct Location Tier for a mosque (based on geographic classification: Corporation, Municipality, or Panchayat) to calculate equitable licensing fees.

Regular users enjoy a 100% free experience across all features. Furthermore, our platform is proudly 100% ad-free, ensuring your reflection and prayers are never interrupted by commercial advertisements.

We are uncompromising when it comes to your data. We do not sell, rent, distribute, or share user data with any third-party advertisers, agencies, or external websites. All data operations are strictly confined within the MasjidHub ecosystem.
